Meal Delivery Programs

For caregivers who would like to arrange meals for a family member, friend or for themselves, we'd like to recommend the following agencies that provide meal delivery services for seniors and other eligible adults in the Vancouver area.

• Better Meals: Better Meals prepares and delivers nutritious, frozen meals to your home once a week. Each meals costs approximately $6.00 and includes soup, an entree and dessert.  Regular, diabetic, low sodium or pureed options are available. Click here for menu information. •   Meals on Wheels: Meals on Wheels is a service operated by the Health and Home Care Society of BC which delivers hot and frozen meals  to eligible patrons residing in Vancouver or Richmond. At the present time, Meals on Wheels provides Western and Chinese style meals and is considering developing a South Asian menu in the future. Meals range in price from $2.90 to $6.00 and regular, low sugar, soft (minced) or vegetarian, poultry and fish options can be ordered. For more information, telephone 604-732-7638 or 604-733-6615 for service in Cantonese. 

Participants of our ADC programs also have the option of purchasing take home meals from our centres for the cost of $4.00. During the next few months, both of our centres will be organizing nutrition information sessions which will include information from or about both of the above meal service programs.
