Getting to Know Dementia
This introductory session is for people who are experiencing early symptoms of dementia, as well as family members or friends who are supporting a person with a recent diagnosis. We will review basic information about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and the impact of receiving a diagnosis. Participants will also learn about different types of support available including services offered by the Alzheimer Society of B.C.

Family Caregiver Series
For family members or friends who are currently supporting a person with dementia. The sessions will cover: Understanding Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, effective and creative strategies for communication, problem solving responsive behaviours, personal planning, navigating the health care system and self-care for the caregiver.

Dementia Dialogue – DVD series – Grief, Loss & Dementia
This educational film is an honest, poignant conversation with the spouses and children of people with dementia. Their emotional journey is full of bumps and unpredictable turns, as well as surprising beauty, even humour. Their insights are an education for anyone who is involved with someone with dementia.
