Dementia Diaries is a UK-wide project that brings together people’s diverse experiences of living with dementia as a series of audio diaries. It serves as a public record and a personal archive that documents the day-to-day lives of people living with dementia, with the aim of prompting a richer dialogue about the varied forms of the condition.
Dementia Diaries is a part of the Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project (DEEP) and an initiative of On Our Radar, a non-profit communications agency that enables marginalized groups share their news and perspectives.
Each diarist is given a 3D printed mobile handset which are simple to use to enable individuals to continue to record entries even as the use of technology becomes more difficult as their disease progresses.
