planning may reduce Alzheimer’s disease burden
New research shows that care planning can control
costs and improve the quality of life for the more than 5 million Americans
with Alzheimer’s disease and their 15 million caregivers, reminding Congress
that progress toward a treatment, prevention or cure is critical not only for
them but also for the nation’s economy. The Senate Appropriations Committee
took a major step toward enhancing care for the millions of Americans
affected by Alzheimer’s by including the Health Outcomes, Planning, and
Education for Alzheimer’s (HOPE) Act in 2017 spending legislation. Read More
